Engagement
Welcome Message
An automated greeting when a member joins — in a channel, a DM, or both — usually with an image card, the member count, and a pointer to where to start.
A welcome message that only says hello measurably does nothing. One that produces a first action — pick a role, introduce yourself, read one specific channel — is the difference between a member and a lurker.
DM welcomes have a hard constraint worth knowing: a member who has DMs closed will never see one, and the bot cannot tell in advance.
Vetox includes welcomes with image cards on the free Starter tier.
